Czech Vocal Music Diction & Style Masterclass 24 & 25 November 2018
workshop: 24. Nov, 10-13h
presenttion: 25. Nov 17h
Prof Jan Mrazek lectures Indonesian Music in NUS. He studied music and violin in Prague, graduated with an Art History Degree, and specialized later on Javanese Gamelan and Wayang. He remained a performer of classical music, e.g. as violinist in Artyfakt "Cantate" series of Sacred Baroque Music in Singapore, and a lover of his native Czech Vocal music. Prof Mrazek has consulted projects of Artyfakt, NAFA, as well as Operastudio in their Czech vocal music as native speaker and expert.
We plan a 3h block of 6 singers on Saturday first (if there is more demand we can expand). Singers prepare a Czech song or aria, bring their pianist, and get correction in diction, can video record the native instructor reciting the text, and get advice in style and phrasing. On Sunday, everyone gets one more 1on1 run through with Jan, and then the masterclass will end with a "presentation" run through of all pieces on Sunday at 17:00h.
Active singers pay only 60$ for the 30min session. We can accept 15 listeners at 10$ each.
Please email to email@example.com or fb-mesage with the song/aria you want to sing. Once confirmed, I will send payment information.
